“From beginning to end, Emily was fantastic! During vendor selection, she would send multiple options. Oftentimes the options she sent would include choices that were not found on major wedding websites (i.e. the Knot). This was a huge help when selecting our band because we were struggling to find the best fit. Throughout the entire process, Emily was thorough and made sure to keep our major milestones on track. This was especially important since I was living in Michigan and our wedding was in Louisiana. Having grown up with a mother who has been in the wedding industry for 20 years, I always knew there were 2 things I wanted for my wedding; to get married in Charleston, and have beautiful invitations. I knew the latter was going to be taken care of (thanks mom!). Since my now husband, Eric and I live in New Jersey, the first thing we did after booking Lowndes Grove was to hire a wedding planner to help us with all the wedding planning and coordination.
We were extremely lucky to have Emily as our coordinator as she really understood our wedding style/ vibe we were going for. Not only did we have the obstacle of planning a wedding in a different state, but we were in the mist of a pandemic which made it nearly impossible travel down to Charleston to do all the wedding arrangements. Emily understood our circumstances and was extremely attentive and responsive. She was beyond helpful in coordinating with our vendors when we had to postpone our wedding due to the pandemic. It is crazy to think we only met with her twice in person before the wedding. Emily made the process before the wedding painless and was critical in setting us up to have the best day.

A former wedding planner myself, I had the handle on planning, but needed someone I fully trusted to execute the plans I made. Enter Emily and her team. I threw so many plans, contracts, and questions at her, and she handled all of it just perfectly.
The day of, I could not have asked for anything more. Emily brought flowers to the house for the photographer to style with. She delicately tied our grandmother’s sapphire ring on my sister’s bouquet. Her dress was perfectly fluffed for every photo. Getting to see the reception after it being fully set up was so incredible, Emily had each and every detail executed to perfection. My sister even broke her bustle from dancing a little too hard, and Emily expertly pulled out her sewing kit and beautifully sewed it, and you couldn’t even tell!
At the end of the night, the bride and groom had left, and Emily and her team had each and every personal item packed up and in my parent’s car. I felt like I was able to fully enjoy the wedding day, and do all of my maid of honor duties, without having to worry about any of the small details. I was a little sad to hug them goodbye, I felt like I had met my planning and design soul sisters, and I can’t wait to be back in Charleston to grab a drink!”
